(Fully remote, async-first, DevTools SaaS, 32-40h/week, time zones: UTC-3 to UTC+3) The best developers don't wait for a customer to tell them something's broken. They catch it first, in the pull request, in staging, or in the checkout flow at 3am, before a single user notices. That instinct is Checkly's whole reason to exist. We give developers and their agents the tools to own reliability the way they own their code: end-to-end tests and synthetic monitoring defined as code, powered by OpenTelemetry and Playwright, versioned and reviewed like everything else they ship. From pull request to post-mortem, in one place. Thousands of them, from modern AI companies like Mistral and resolve.ai to large engineering orgs like LinkedIn, Citi, and 1Password, build with us. In 2024 we raised $20M in Series B funding from Balderton, CRV and Accel. Here's the thing about 2026: AI agents and coding assistants are shipping more software, faster, than any team could review by hand, and more of it is breaking in ways nobody has seen before. LLM-backed features fail probabilistically. Agents take actions no runbook anticipated. "Is my app healthy?" is becoming an unanswerable question for a whole generation of AI-native software. You will build reliability for this kind of software. Our stack is AI (Codex, Claude, use what you like best), Vue.js, TypeScript, Node.js, Golang, Postgres, ClickHouse and AWS. We ship to prod all day, every day. We practice Agile (not scrum) and take pride in good documentation and good looking products. We’re a remote-first startup that keeps things simple—low on meetings, high on productivity, and always shipping. If you love building cool things, working async, actually listening to and working with customers, and keeping it lean, you’ll fit right in! What you'll do Build and ship with AI You will actively use coding agents for full stack development, from exploring solutions and generating scaffolding to refactoring, test generation and debugging. At Checkly we push the limits of AI tools every day. Talk to our users You will talk directly to the developers, DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams who are on-call, debugging incidents, or wiring Checkly into production pipelines. You will understand their workflows, pain points, and feedback. You use those conversations to validate ideas, course-correct early, and iterate on what you build. Customer calls and the weekly support rotation are part of the job, not a distraction from it. Find the right problems to solve In a world where the cost of building software trends to zero, the hard part is picking what to build. You will focus on real developer pain: flaky tests and flaky checks, unclear failures, noisy alerts. You will favour pragmatic solutions that ship quickly, validate assumptions in production, and compound into long-term reliability improvements. Own your work end to end From shaping the initial idea, through implementation and rollout, to watching how it behaves in production. You will take part in on-call and help support customers when things don’t work as expected. What you should have You have shipped features with AI, not just experimented with them. You have taken work from zero to shipped with a comparable stack, made implementation decisions that held up, and put things in front of real users. You have built and run production software. You know the realities of operating software that people depend on: edge cases, incidents, regressions, and the need for observability and follow-up. You are not surprised when things break. You help fix them. You can hold a product conversation, not just a technical one. You can look at a customer problem and reason about whether the thing we are about to build actually solves it. You work well without an office around you. You are autonomous and self-motivated in a remote setup, and you still enjoy getting to know your colleagues and helping other people get unstuck. FULLY remote role, within the UTC-3 to UTC+3 time zones. You need to be able to travel to (other) European countries without having to wait for a visa appointment, for our annual kickoff, a team meetup or a conference. What you will hate about us We would rather tell you now than have you find out in month two. We use AI for everything, and we mean everything. AI skepticism is not a thing here. If you have the slightest hesitation about working with AI every day, this is not the place for you, and that is completely fine. We write more than we talk. We are async-first, so a lot of decisions happen in documents and threads, not meetings. If you do your best thinking out loud in a room full of people, you will miss it here. We are lean, so you own the unglamorous parts too. There is no separate QA team, no ops layer to hand things off to, and you are on the support rotation and the on-call rotation like everyone else. We ship constantly and change our minds. Priorities move as we learn from customers. If you need long, stable planning cycles, this will feel chaotic. Customer signals come first, and most of the time they matter more than your instinct. We build what customers actually want, not the clever thing we dreamed up. Benefits Transparent salary because your salary shouldn't be dictated by how good a negotiator you are. (more info below) Remote-first , flexible work hours , async-first (low meeting, high productivity) and transparent culture Become part of a fast-growing, international, and remote team where your work matters, and your impact won't get lost in layers of bureaucracy. UFORCE exists to make aggression unaffordable. Founded in Ukraine and headquartered in London, UFORCE is a defence-technology company with operations across Europe, the United States and Asia. UFORCE builds uncrewed vessels, ground robotics and aircraft, autonomy software, and the command-and-control layer that operates them together. Each platform is deployable on its own, and stronger as part of the system. Its product lines include the MAGURA family of uncrewed surface vessels, the NEMESIS family of strike platforms, the LIUT family of ground robotic platforms, and counter-UAS systems. About the role UFORCE is looking for a Lead Engineer, Air to take hands-on technical ownership of our first Western-facing air product, turning operational lessons from Ukraine into a reliable, manufacturable system that customers can test, deploy and reorder. Your initial focus will be one product. You’ll bring engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and field teams together around a controlled design and a clear delivery plan, resolving the reliability and integration challenges that stand between today’s product and repeatable production. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, not a management-only position. You’ll stay close to the hardware, own system-level engineering decisions and ensure that changes are proven through testing and reflected in what we build. As our air portfolio expands, there is potential to grow into broader technical leadership, including Chief Engineer, Air. Progression will depend on business need and demonstrated performance, rather than a fixed promotion timetable. What you’ll do Establish product ownership and a delivery plan. In your first 30 days, assess the current design, customer requirements and test evidence with engineering, manufacturing and field teams. Identify the highest-priority risks and agree a 90-day plan with clear owners, milestones and acceptance criteria. Create a controlled technical baseline. By day 60, establish practical requirements, configuration records, bills of materials, interface definitions and change control so teams know what has been approved, built, tested and deployed. Lead end-to-end systems integration. Own technical trade-offs across airframe, propulsion, power, avionics, flight control, communications, navigation, payload interfaces and ground systems, drawing on specialist expertise where needed. Improve reliability and demonstrate performance. During the initial three to five months, establish a failure-reporting and corrective-action process, address priority failure modes and verify improvements through repeatable ground and flight testing against agreed requirements. Prepare the product for repeatable production. Partner with manufacturing and supply chain on design for manufacture, component qualification, approved substitutions and supplier risks. Release a production package covering drawings, BOM, assembly requirements, inspection and acceptance tests, supported by a costed BOM and cost-reduction priorities. Enable credible customer trials and delivery. Define approved configurations, test plans and readiness criteria. Validate capability claims, document operating limits and provide clear engineering input on delivery feasibility, support needs and technical risks. Connect operational experience to product development. Work closely with Ukrainian product experts and international teams to preserve field knowledge, manage configuration differences and translate operator and customer feedback into prioritised product changes. Build a foundation for portfolio growth. Identify reusable architecture, components and engineering practices, recommend capability and resource needs, and review the scope for broader ownership with leadership as the portfolio develops. Required Skill Hands-on UAS engineering ownership: Experience leading delivery of a complete air vehicle or substantial integrated UAS product, with clear evidence of your own technical decisions and their impact on flight performance. Systems integration judgement: The ability to reason across mechanical, electrical, flight-control, communications, navigation and software interfaces, and recognise when specialist depth is needed. Prototype-to-production experience: Meaningful involvement in taking an aerial product into repeatable production, including design for manufacture, configuration control and production testing. Reliability and test discipline: A track record of diagnosing flight or field failures, identifying root causes and proving corrective actions through repeatable testing. Cross-functional technical leadership: The ability to set priorities, coordinate engineers and specialist partners, and drive delivery through influence as well as formal authority. Cost and component judgement: Practical understanding of how design decisions affect availability, qualification, unit cost, manufacturing quality and applicable sourcing requirements. Operational awareness: Understanding of how GNSS denial, jamming, communications resilience and operator feedback influence UAS design and testing. Startup execution: Comfort working close to hardware, making decisions with incomplete information and balancing delivery speed with appropriate engineering control. Clear communication and ownership: The ability to distinguish demonstrated capability from development goals, explain limitations and escalate technical, safety or resource risks early. Willingness to travel regularly to engineering teams, manufacturing sites, test ranges and customers. Nice to Have Direct experience working with Ukrainian UAS teams, products or operators. Experience adapting products for Western defence customers. Familiarity with applicable NDAA, Blue UAS and export-control requirements. Experience supporting customer trials, military qualification or airworthiness activity. Experience with payload integration or payload-release systems. Experience coordinating engineering and manufacturing across countries. Evidence of growing from hands-on product ownership into broader technical leadership. The nature of combat has changed. Tomorrow’s battlefield success depends on autonomy, speed, and adaptability. And UFORCE is ready. Are You? Find more English Speaking Jobs in United Kingdom on Arbeitnow

In 5 years of existence, we’ve managed to : 💻 Make ourselves known as a groundbreaking accounting and financial software for small businesses and their accountants 💰 Raise a total of €400 millions, including from Sequoia, the famous fund from the Silicon Valley who invested early in companies like Google, Facebook, Airbnb, Stripe, Paypal and much more... 👨👩👧👦 Grow from 7 cofounders to 1000 happy Pennylaners : we’re now recognized as one of the greatest places to work in France (and also remotely), with a 4.6/5 rating on Glassdoor . 🌍 Build an international environment with more than 25 nationalities, with a strong remote-friendly culture, where 30% of the employees are already working from all parts of Europe 🤝 Earn the trust of thousands of customers and accounting firms and obtain outstanding ratings 🚀 Already more than 900,000 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and over 6000 accounting firms use Pennylane in France! We are currently operating approximately 30k business accounts under a BaaS model with Swan. The role of Financial Services in our strategy is set to grow, both in terms of revenue and product contribution, to serve our 800k current customer base. As such, we are initiating a process to get licensed as Etablissement de paiement et Société de financement. Our ambition is to start onboarding new customers by mid 2027 before starting migrating existing customers. To meet this ambition, we are starting to hire our Tech, Product, Compliance, Legal and Ops leaders. We are looking for a Lead Legal Counsel to drive the legal function of our Financial Services activity and build our regulatory legal team. From the day you join until we are fully licensed, you will structure and execute the legal path to authorization: interpret requirements, translate them into an internal plan, and ensure deliverables are complete, consistent, and aligned across teams. You will help define the target operating model (intra-group and outsourced) and ensure it is legally defensible and well documented for the application. After licensing, you will shift from “building the file” to running and scaling the legal function of the regulated entity: ensuring ongoing compliance with ACPR expectations, enabling product growth safely, and keeping the operating model (including outsourcing) continuously audit-ready. You will own the legal oversight of day-to-day legal and corporate matters (policies, governance, reporting support, inspections), lead the legal work for launching new regulated products and entering new partnerships, and manage the legal aspects of onboarding and migrating customers to the licensed subsidiary (terms, communications, complaints/conduct risk). This is a greenfield project with high autonomy and responsibility, and the opportunity to shape the legal culture of a fast-growing fintech while managing and mentoring an experienced Legal Counsel, with the ambition to scale the team further as the business grows. Organisation & Reporting You will be part of the core Legal Department. Your reporting line will be Stanislas, our General Counsel. You will manage a seasoned Legal Counsel and will be responsible for planning the future growth of the Financial Services Legal team. You will also partner closely with our Financial Services Chief Compliance and Risk Officer, Chief Operational Officer and the contract team. Mission & Objectives Team Leadership & Structuring You manage, mentor, and develop your team member(s), fostering a high-performance, autonomous, and pragmatic legal culture. You structure the team’s workload and roadmap, delegating effectively while remaining deeply hands-on. You anticipate future hiring needs and actively participate in scaling the regulatory legal team. Corporate and governance You design, document and run the legal aspects of corporate governance: delegation of powers, board/committee charters, conflicts management, inter-company arrangements on payment services outsourcing, governance narrative for the ACPR reports, and ongoing legal compliance cadence once authorized. Products, contracts and customer legal architecture You own the legal design of the FS product perimeter (payments services, account services, credit/financing products as applicable). You work with the contractual team (Roland) on the associated contractual framework: customer terms, disclosures, pricing documentation, complaint handling language, and operational/legal flows (including KYC/AML handoffs, incident handling and customer communications). Outsourcing / BaaS transition & vendor contracting You own legal matters relating to critical outsourcing and third-party reliance (including existing BaaS arrangements): contract negotiation, regulatory outsourcing clauses, audit/access rights, sub-outsourcing controls, exit plans, SLAs, data protection allocation, operational resilience expectations, and documentation suitable for ACPR scrutiny. Migration readiness In close collaboration with the operation team (Maxime), you lead the legal plan for migrating customers from Swan (sequencing, consent/novation approaches, customer communications from a legal standpoint, continuity of mandates, handling of incidents/complaints, and safeguards to minimise conduct risk). Privacy and Security In close coordination with our DPO (Léa) and security stakeholders, you ensure that our Financial Services operating model address data processing roles, cross-border flows (if any), retention, incident response, recordkeeping, and contractual protections with key providers. Regulatory engagement support & internal enablement Until we are fully licenced, you help prepare ACPR interactions (Q&A packs, position papers, meeting preparation). Once authorized, you own the relationship with ACPR from a legal perspective, supporting the CCRO with legal opinions, advisory etc. You train internal stakeholders on the legal/regulatory constraints that shape product and operations, and build a “legal-by-design” approach for Financial Services. Culture, Training & Advisory You will be expected to operate as an owner, not a “support function,” and to produce pragmatic, regulator-ready outcomes. About you You have 8+ years of relevant experience, including in-house legal experience at a regulated entity (payments, EMI/PI, bank, lending/consumer credit, factoring, etc.), fintech, or BaaS. You have a proven track record or a strong aptitude for managing, mentoring, and developing team members in a fast-paced environment. You have substantial experience in regulated financial services legal work, and you are comfortable owning cross-functional programmes. Senior legal expert in a French ACPR-regulated entity (établissement de paiement, établissement de crédit, société de financement or similar). Hands on contract experience and knowledge about our regulatory environment (arrêté du 3 novembre 2014, PSD2, DORA, EBA Guidelines, etc). Skills & mindset Technical strengths You can credibly lead on : ACPR/European regulatory frameworks for payments and/or lending/financing; Outsourcing and third-party risk legal frameworks in regulated environments; Governance and regulated-entity corporate law basics. Soft skills Player-coach mentality: capable of executing complex individual contributions while guiding and empowering your team. You can work fast without losing rigour. Strong pedagogy: able to explain complex regulatory legal topics to product managers, engineers and founders in simple, actionable terms. Pragmatic, impact-driven approach, capable of operating under strong regulatory constraints without blocking innovation. Very strong written and oral communication skills in both French and English.
