Swarm Aero is redefining air power, building the largest swarming UAV and the most versatile swarming aircraft network in the world. The company is moving quickly to launch the first aircraft designed specifically for swarming, as well as the Command & Control software to mobilize swarms of thousands of heterogeneous autonomous assets and empower human operators to achieve superhuman results. The team has created and exited multiple startups, negotiated defense deals worth billions of dollars, and designed and built 30+ novel aircraft, with aerospace experience from Scaled Composites, Airbus, Archer Aviation, Blue Origin, and Boom Supersonic. Mission Turn operational needs, customer feedback, and product direction into clear product specifications—and then drive those capabilities through decisions, design, development, and validation. You will work directly with the Head of Product on Legion and become a core contributor to both defining the product and running the process around it. What You’ll Own Create clear, detailed product specifications for new features and capabilities. Take customer needs, operator feedback, technical constraints, and product direction and turn them into actionable product requirements. Own bounded features from early definition through design, development, feedback, and validation. Work directly with Product Design to translate specifications into detailed workflows and Figma designs. Review designs and implementations against product intent and requirements. Facilitate product discussions with government customers, third-party contractors, operators, engineers, and internal stakeholders. Prepare agendas and clearly identify topics requiring feedback, decisions, or alignment. Capture decisions, unresolved issues, customer feedback, and action items. Incorporate meeting outcomes directly into product specifications and related artifacts. Maintain feature status, decision history, feedback registers, and key product commitments. Identify ambiguity, conflicting requirements, and missing decisions before they slow the team down. Track important product and contractual deliverables. Help prepare product reviews, demonstrations, and customer discussions. Create enough structure to keep the organization aligned without introducing unnecessary process. What Great Looks Like You are given a problem such as: “Operators need a better way to understand and respond to vehicle health issues during degraded communications.” You meet with the relevant operators, engineers, customers, and stakeholders. You understand the underlying problem. You separate customer requests from actual product requirements. You identify edge cases and unresolved decisions. You write a product specification that clearly explains the intended behavior, workflows, system states, requirements, and open questions. You work with Product Design to turn that specification into a strong interface. You incorporate feedback, resolve ambiguity, and keep the feature moving until the capability works as intended. The Head of Product provides direction and reviews the most important decisions—but does not need to personally produce every artifact or manage every follow-up. Early Expectations Within the first few weeks, you should begin contributing directly to product specifications. Initially, you may draft sections of specifications or own smaller, well-bounded capabilities with guidance from the Head of Product. As your understanding of Legion, its operators, and the technical architecture grows, you will rapidly take ownership of larger features. We are not looking for someone who spends six months observing before contributing. The Person We’re Looking For You are an excellent writer. You can take a complicated conversation and turn it into a clear product definition. You have strong product judgment and are comfortable making reasonable decisions when requirements are incomplete. You understand that a customer request is not automatically a product requirement. You are technically curious and capable of participating meaningfully in discussions with software engineers, systems engineers, operators, and external partners. You naturally ask questions like: What problem are we actually trying to solve? Who needs this capability? What should happen in this edge case? What does the operator see? What state is the system actually in? How will we know this works? Is this a product decision, an engineering decision, or a customer preference? You are highly organized, but organization is a means to an end. Your real job is creating clarity and moving product decisions forward. Particularly Valuable Experience Experience with any of the following would be especially valuable: Technical product management Complex B2B software Command-and-control systems Aerospace or defense Robotics or autonomous systems Mission planning Geospatial software Systems engineering Government programs Operational testing Requirements development What This Role Is Not This is not a project coordinator role. It is not a Scrum Master role. It is not an administrative Product Operations position. It is not someone whose primary contribution is scheduling meetings, maintaining Jira, or writing meeting minutes. Those activities may occasionally be necessary, but they are secondary. The primary contribution is: understanding product problems and defining excellent solutions. Success After 90 Days You are independently drafting product specifications for bounded Legion features. Customer and operator feedback is consistently translated into clear product requirements. Product meetings result in updated specifications, decisions, and actionable follow-up. The Head of Product can delegate meaningful feature-definition work to you. Product Design receives clearer inputs and can move faster. Important product decisions and rationale are documented and traceable. ITAR requirement To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. Swarm Aero is an equal opportunity employer. Swarm Aero is redefining air power, building the largest swarming UAV and the most versatile swarming aircraft network in the world. The team has created and exited multiple startups, negotiated defense deals worth billions of dollars, and designed and built 30+ novel aircraft, with aerospace experience from Scaled Composites, Airbus, Archer Aviation, Blue Origin, and Boom Supersonic. Mission Turn clear product direction into exceptional, implementation-ready product experiences. This role exists to dramatically increase the speed at which product ideas become real. You will work directly with the Head of Product to take written product specifications, workflow descriptions, existing product patterns, screenshots, and rough Figma-frame descriptions and turn them into polished, coherent, buildable designs. This is a highly execution-oriented design role. We are looking for someone who can move quickly from concept to detailed UI without requiring constant direction or extensive design ceremonies. What You’ll Own Translate detailed product specifications into high-quality Figma designs. Design workflows for complex command-and-control and operational software. Take rough frame descriptions and independently determine layout, hierarchy, interaction details, and edge cases. Build and maintain reusable Figma components and patterns. Maintain consistency across the product as new capabilities are introduced. Work closely with engineering to ensure designs are understood and implementable. Review implemented functionality and identify discrepancies between design intent and the built product. Help evolve the overall UX architecture of Legion as the product expands. Rapidly iterate based on operator, engineering, and customer feedback. Fill in reasonable UX details independently rather than requiring every interaction to be explicitly specified. What Great Looks Like You receive a well-written product spec and a description of the required Figma frames. You understand the intent quickly. You identify the handful of questions that actually matter. Then you disappear for a period of focused work and come back with something substantially better than what was described. The resulting Figma should be clear enough that engineering can build from it, polished enough to show a customer, and thoughtful enough that the Head of Product does not need to design every interaction personally. The Person We’re Looking For You are an unusually strong individual contributor. You are fast. You have excellent product judgment and visual judgment. You are comfortable designing dense, information-rich software rather than only simple consumer applications. You enjoy receiving strong product direction and turning it into an excellent finished experience. You are comfortable making decisions independently when requirements do not specify every detail. You can distinguish between a product question that requires escalation and a design detail that you should simply solve. You communicate clearly with engineers and product leaders. You care about craft, but you do not allow perfectionism to slow down execution. Particularly Valuable Experience Experience with any of the following would be especially valuable: Command-and-control systems Aerospace or defense software Robotics or autonomous systems Geospatial interfaces Mission planning software Industrial or operational software Gaming interfaces Complex dashboards Design systems Human-machine interfaces Software used in time-sensitive or safety-critical environments What This Role Is Not This is not primarily a branding role. It is not primarily a UX research role. It is not a role centered around workshops, design-thinking exercises, or producing large amounts of process documentation. Those capabilities can be useful, but the core requirement is simple: You must be exceptionally good at turning product intent into excellent software designs quickly. Success After 6 Months Product specifications routinely move into Figma without the Head of Product personally designing them. Engineering receives clearer and more complete designs. Legion has stronger UX consistency across features. Design iteration cycles become significantly faster. The Head of Product spends more time on strategy, customers, and product decisions, and less time producing individual screens. Role: Product Designer-Builder Company: StellarTech Location: Remote. StellarTech has offices in Warsaw and Cyprus if you'd like to work from one. The team overlaps 10:00–16:00 CET. Search focus: Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Serbia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Cyprus, Dubai and the wider Middle East; Western Europe is also possible. We can't consider Russia, Belarus or Ukraine at the moment. Job Type: Full-time, B2B contract Compensation: €4,500–5,500/month gross, paid in USD About StellarTech StellarTech is a self-funded multi-app company that launches consumer mobile products in different domains. It is profitable, moves at startup pace and is aiming for $1B in revenue. You would join Smartimi, the company's biggest and most mature app, as the design partner of its PM, Darya. Around you: a content team that builds templates, a product analyst, engineers and QA. The Head of Product has a UX background himself. The team speaks Russian; the users speak English. What you are expected to do: Take raw problems, ideas and initiatives and turn them into flows, prototypes and shipped UI for a consumer mobile app. Work as a pair with the PM, and own some initiatives fully, from idea to release to reading the numbers. Work directly with engineers and review the build before it ships. Run A/B tests, read the results in Amplitude and plan the next iteration. Talk to users: run interviews in English and launch quick surveys. Build features yourself with vibe-coding or no-code tools when that's faster. The team has a way to test and ship them. Marketing banners and funnels are handled by a separate team, so they are not part of this role. What you need to succeed: 3+ years in product design, with at least 2 (ideally 3) in consumer mobile apps. B2B-only backgrounds won't be a fit. Strong, modern mobile UX and UI craft. The Head of Product looks closely at portfolios, so yours should show it. Ownership: when a problem lands on your desk, you carry it through without waiting to be told the next step. Product thinking: you care about product metrics and experiments, not only the interface. Experience running user interviews. Usability testing and research methods can be learned on the job. English at B2–C1 and Russian. Clear, structured communication, including when you're thinking out loud with the team. You enjoy a high pace and take direct feedback well. You want to build good things for users, not just hit numbers at any cost. Nice to have: an app or side project you launched yourself, and builder or no-code skills. What you get: A direct partnership with a strong PM, and a Head of Product who cares about design. Real ownership, access to analytics and A/B data, and room to build things yourself. Remote work, offices in Warsaw and Cyprus, and an offsite about once a year. 21 calendar days of paid vacation plus 10 public holidays of your country, and 7 paid sick days. €50/month towards health insurance after probation, and a MacBook Air (13" or 15"). €4,500–5,500/month gross on a B2B contract with StellarTech's Cyprus entity, paid in USD. You'll need your own sole proprietorship. Probation is 3 months. How to apply Apply through hirehire: https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/hirehire/348181a6-cb98-4401-86cb-a1ca508b9e3c . Add your LinkedIn profile or CV and a link to your portfolio. If your portfolio is password-protected, include the password in your application. The process: a 30-minute call with hirehire, a portfolio review with the Head of Product, an interview with the PM, a 30-minute call with the Head of Product, and a live whiteboard challenge in Figma with the team. It usually takes about a week. Find more English Speaking Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow

Fully remote and global, we are in the middle of something bigger: transforming into an AI-first organisation, built on our own platform . We use Agentic AI to automate, orchestrate intelligent processes, and elevate human contribution across every team. Named GP Bullhound’s Top 100 Next Unicorn list, 2025 Great Place to Work certified. Visionary in 2025 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Business Orchestration and Automation Technologies. ranked 3rd in Flexa's 2026 Most Flexible Companies , We’re growing fast and looking for top talent to join our team. If you want meaningful work, visible impact and put something genuinely rare on your CV, keep reading. About the Role: Camunda's Revenue Operations organization is looking for a Senior GTM Systems AI and Automation Engineer to design, build and operate the AI-powered infrastructure that connects our go-to-market systems and removes manual work across Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Partnerships and Account Development. You will join the GTM Systems team – a small group of builders who own a Salesforce-centric revenue stack – and take ownership of its AI and automation layer: agents, LLM integrations, MCP servers, retrieval pipelines, backend services and workflow orchestration. You will partner with GTM leaders to find high-impact problems, scope them, and ship reliable, well-governed solutions iteratively. This is a fully remote role and can be based anywhere we are eligible to hire. What You Will Do: Design, build and operate AI agents, LLM integrations and automations that connect Salesforce, Gainsight, Slack, Salesloft, Clari, HubSpot, Impartner and the rest of the GTM stack – reducing manual work across Sales, CS, Marketing, Partners and ADR teams. Own the architecture of the GTM Systems AI layer: MCP servers, APIs, retrieval and context pipelines, reusable agent tools and skills, and serverless or containerized services on Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions). Ship production-grade LLM capabilities – prompt engineering, RAG, function calling, structured outputs, automated evaluations – with the guardrails to match: validation, fallback logic, confidence thresholds, human escalation paths, access controls, audit logging, and cost and latency management. Partner with Revenue Operations, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Partnerships and SDR/ADR leaders to identify and prioritize automation opportunities, translate ambiguous requirements into maintainable solutions, and deliver incrementally with clear documentation. Raise the engineering bar for the GTM Systems team: code review, automated testing, CI/CD, security governance, observability and technical documentation; mentor teammates on responsible AI-assisted development. Design and deploy workflows on orchestration platforms such as Camunda and Clay, and create playbooks and enablement so GTM teams can use and operate automations independently. What You Will Bring to the Role: Must Haves: 5+ years of software engineering experience (backend development, systems integration, data or analytics engineering, or automation), including at least 2 years shipping LLM or AI capabilities into production business workflows or internal tools. Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js), with mature Git-based development habits: code review, automated testing, CI/CD. Hands-on command of LLM patterns – prompt engineering, RAG, function/tool calling, structured outputs, model evaluation – and of their failure modes and mitigations (validation, fallback logic, confidence thresholds, human review, cost and latency control). Experience integrating with Salesforce (REST/Bulk/Streaming APIs, data model, platform limits; Apex or Flow a plus) and other business systems via APIs and event-driven patterns, and with a cloud platform (GCP preferred: BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, IAM). Ability to own a problem end-to-end with minimal guidance – scope, design, deliver, operate – and to communicate clearly with engineering and business stakeholders in a remote, asynchronous environment. Nice to Haves: Experience with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar standards for connecting AI systems to tools and data; agent frameworks; vector databases or retrieval pipelines (pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB). Exposure to AI observability and evaluation tooling (LangSmith, Weights & Biases, or custom eval frameworks). Familiarity with orchestration platforms such as Camunda or Clay, and prior work in Revenue Operations, GTM Systems, Sales Operations or Marketing Operations in B2B SaaS. Building lightweight interfaces for AI tools (React, Slack Block Kit, dashboards); Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II, Integration Architect). About Griffin Hi, we’re Griffin. We’re a fully regulated UK bank that powers the accounts and payments offerings of product-led fintechs and platforms like Uber, Yonder, Prosper, and Sidekick. By doing the heavy lifting behind the scenes, our customers can focus on what they do best - delivering amazing customer experiences. We’ve grown rapidly since our launch in 2024, and today provide the banking backbone behind products in remittance, payroll, wealth, insurance, proptech, payments, neobanking and more. We’re moving into card issuing, stablecoin infrastructure, and agentic finance next as we continue to support the next generation of product-led companies. Learn more about what we do Our culture We believe that smart, motivated, conscientious people thrive in high-trust, high-autonomy environments and have done our best to create such an environment at Griffin. People who thrive here don’t require much hand-holding, and go out of their way to figure out how to contribute in the most valuable way possible. We've been remote-first since we were established in 2017 and we remain so today. Work here is asynchronous and fully flexible - because we want to be a part of your life in a way that helps you to get the most out of both your work and home life. We understand that our culture and ways of working aren’t for everyone, and we’re very intentional about our hiring process as a result. We won't hire people who don’t seem like a strong fit for our core values, even if they're otherwise extremely qualified. Our strong culture has helped us to remain a mission-driven company as we have scaled, and gives our people a clear, explicit operating framework and the space to focus on delivering real value for our customers. Learn more about our culture. The Team You'll join our Service guild and work across first line operations, sales and produt. Working closely with Protect (our second line) you'll be the first person dedicated to compliance within the team. You'll define what great compliance solutions look like. Then implement them , keeping Griffin's products and customer outcomes in shape as we grow. The opportunity We want compliance and data protection built into how we design, sell and run our products, not bolted at the end. As our hands on compliance adviser in the first line (the teams who run the business and own its risks), you'll bring regulatory expertise to help our operations, commercial and product teams do exactly that. With card issuing and other launches coming up, there's plenty to get stuck into. Compliance advisory is the heart of this role and will take around 70% of your time. You’ll also pick up a smaller, complementary slice of work as our Data Protection Officer (DPO), around 30% of your time. DPO experience is a plus but not essential, and we’ll train you if you need it. What success looks like In your first year, compliance advisory is where you’ve made your mark. You’ve sought out our operations, sales and product teams and shown them that working with you makes things smoother, not slower. Now they bring you in early by default. You’ve guided at least one major launch, like card issuing, from first idea to go live. You’ve put clear governance and outcome monitoring in place for our live products, so Protect (our second line risk and compliance team) sees fewer surprises and finds a stronger compliance foundation. Alongside that, in the smaller DPO part of your role, you’ve taken ownership of our data protection agenda. You’ve gone looking for ways to improve, made the changes happen, and given our senior leaders an honest picture of where we stand. To do this you'll be involved in: Compliance advisory (around 70% of your time) Product development: turning regulation into clear requirements, customer journeys, T&Cs and fair value assessments, from first idea through product approval to launch, with data protection built in from the start. Product lifecycle management: keeping live products compliant through periodic fair value assessments, outcome monitoring, reviews, changes and closures. Sales: helping our commercial team check early whether potential partners fit our risk appetite, and reviewing sales material. Marketing: working on marketing materials, both ours and our customers’, to make sure they comply with regulation and our own policies, and that our financial promotions are properly challenged. Service (Operations): building regulatory and data protection requirements into how Service works day to day, with procedures and controls people actually use. Regulatory change: working out what new rules mean for us, and making sure the right teams make the right changes on time. Issues and reporting: investigating and fixing compliance issues, including personal data breaches, and reporting clearly on compliance risks and customer outcomes. Working with second line (Protect): bringing them in early, sharing the evidence they need, and acting on their challenge. Data Protection Officer (around 30% of your time - training will be provided if needed) Being our DPO means: advising our teams on their obligations, including data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and transfer risk assessments (TRAs) monitoring how well we comply with the UK GDPR, other global data protection laws and our own policies training colleagues and raising awareness of data protection being our contact point for the ICO and for people with questions or requests about their data As our DPO, you’ll report directly to our COO and have the independence you need to do the job well. We’ll involve you early in anything that affects personal data. We expect you to shape this role: This description reflects what we need today. How you achieve these outcomes, where you focus your energy, how this role evolves—that's for you to define as you learn what our customers need and where our technical gaps are. Your background We need a proactive compliance doer first and foremost. You get stuck in without waiting to be asked, and you’re comfortable tackling regulations you haven’t met before. You use your experience and expertise to help our teams find simple, clear and compliant solutions. Your advice is balanced, easy to follow and focused on the risks that matter most. You want to push the business forward, and you see good compliance as part of how we get there. To ensure this, we're looking for people who have: Compliance experience in the first (preferred) or second line of a UK regulated firm, ideally a bank, e-money institution or payments firm. Practical knowledge of the rules behind our products , like Consumer Duty, BCOBS, CASS, FISMA, the Payment Services Regulations and the Money Laundering Regulations. As well as familiarity with HMRC requirements like BBSI and AEOI reporting. Hands-on experience turning regulation into practical requirements for product, sales or operations teams. An openness to picking up data protection as part of the role: a genuine interest is enough, DPO experience isn’t required. A curious, questioning approach. You know the right questions to ask before signing something off, not just the rules to check it against. The confidence to challenge, clearly and kindly, when something isn’t right. A love of writing . We have a major amount of written documentation that you will be contributing to, and we place a high degree of importance on clarity and readability (you can find out more here about how we write ). Ideally, you would also: Have deep expertise in at least one specialist area, such as payments, cards, Consumer Duty, BCOBS, financial promotions or similar. Have been a DPO, or worked closely with one, in a regulated firm. Have worked in finance or banking. What can we offer you? We are an early stage startup and we're working hard to expand our benefits package. We're planning to add to this list in the future. Salary: £ 80-90 (DOE) Remote-first flexibility: Work from anywhere in the UK Work from abroad: Up to 20 days a year Time off: 25 days’ holiday, bank holidays and a winter break (we shut down between Christmas and New Year) Share options: Own a part of what we’re building together Pension: Auto-enrolment into our Penfold scheme Insurance: Private medical with Bupa (including family cover) and life insurance with AIG Wellbeing: 1:1 coaching and therapy session available through Oliva Family leave: Enhanced parental leave with up to 6 months on full pay after two years’ service AI tools: Everyone has a Claude subscription on us and access to other premium tools Your setup: We’ll support you in creating a comfortable and effective WFH environment. This isn't a traditional field engineering, solutions architecture, or professional services role. As a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll work closely with customers while maintaining the technical standards and contribution discipline of a Staff-level product engineer.</p> <p>You'll work where strategic customer urgency, complex technical ambiguity, and GitLab product execution intersect. You'll partner directly with strategic customers and teams across Product, Engineering, Support, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Solutions Architecture (SA), Customer Success Architecture (CSA), Customer Success Management (CSM), and Professional Services. You'll diagnose and resolve high-impact adoption blockers, contribute production-quality fixes and features, and turn what you learn into repeatable patterns for GitLab and its customers.</p> <h2><strong>Why this role exists</strong></h2> <p>Strategic customers sometimes encounter challenges that are too broad, deep, urgent, or cross-functional for any single team to own from start to finish. These challenges may involve product gaps, performance degradation, scale bottlenecks, AI governance, adoption blockers, architectural constraints, Git usage patterns, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) complexity, application programming interface (API) automation, security requirements, or operational instability.</p> <p>Forward Deployed Engineering provides technical stewardship in these moments. The team doesn't simply observe, report, or escalate. You'll engage directly, diagnose the underlying technical problem, collaborate with the right teams, contribute code or technical solutions where appropriate, and transition the outcome into normal ownership once the customer is stable and the learning can be reused.</p> <h2><strong>What you’ll do</strong></h2> <h3><strong>Product contribution</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Contribute production-quality code to GitLab’s product and adjacent systems.</li> <li>Develop bug fixes, features, integrations, tooling, and performance improvements when strategic customer outcomes require direct engineering work.</li> <li>Work within GitLab’s product and engineering processes, including issue discovery, merge request creation, testing, review, documentation, and maintainability.</li> <li>Partner with Product and Engineering so customer-driven solutions support long-term product direction rather than becoming one-off customizations.</li> <li>Turn blockers discovered in the field into durable product improvements, reference architectures, documentation, and repeatable implementation patterns.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Strategic technical stewardship</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Engage with strategically important customers when adoption, retention, executive confidence, or public trust is materially at risk.</li> <li>Diagnose complex problems across GitLab product behavior, customer architecture, Git internals, CI/CD workflows, API usage, observability, infrastructure, networking, and cloud environments.</li> <li>Coordinate across Product, Engineering, SRE, Support, SA, CSA, CSM, Professional Services, and customer technical teams to drive resolution from discovery through handoff.</li> <li>Provide recommendations grounded in data, traces, and systems analysis to improve GitLab usage, workflows, automation, and architecture.</li> <li>Create durable outcomes without establishing permanent dependency on Forward Deployed Engineering.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>AI adoption and agentic software development lifecycle</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Drive governed, measurable, and production-oriented adoption of GitLab Duo Agent Platform with strategic customers.</li> <li>Identify and resolve AI adoption blockers involving governance, usage controls, auditability, security, compliance, operating models, workflow design, and integrations.</li> <li>Develop customer-safe adoption patterns for the agentic software development lifecycle (SDLC), AI-assisted development, intent-based review, AI governance, and human-in-the-loop software delivery.</li> <li>Partner with Product, Engineering, Field, and Customer Success teams to turn AI adoption learning into reusable guidance and product improvements.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Thought leadership</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Create technical narratives grounded in customer experience and product reality that can help shape the industry’s approach.</li> <li>Contribute to Well-Architected Frameworks, whitepapers, webinars, reference architectures, technical strategy memos, and adoption frameworks.</li> <li>Guide ideas through discovery, formulation, validation, amplification, and adoption across GitLab.</li> <li>Partner with SA, CSA, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Product Marketing Management, CSM, Support, and executive stakeholders to make technical thought leadership a shared company capability.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>What you’ll bring</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Staff-level experience building, operating, or improving complex production software systems.</li> <li>Experience contributing to large, mature product codebases with high standards for testing, maintainability, performance, and security.</li> <li>Strong Ruby on Rails or Go experience and the ability to contribute directly to GitLab’s product and adjacent systems.</li> <li>Experience with AI-assisted software development, agentic workflows, AI governance, model evaluation, context management, prompt and workflow design, or AI adoption in enterprise environments.</li> <li>Experience diagnosing complex system behavior across application code, data stores, infrastructure, observability, networking, APIs, and customer usage patterns.</li> <li>Deep knowledge of modern DevSecOps workflows, including Git, merge requests, CI/CD, security controls, compliance needs, and enterprise software delivery.</li> <li>Experience working with strategic customers or senior technical stakeholders in ambiguous, high-impact situations.</li> <li>The ability to coordinate across product, engineering, field, and customer teams without formal authority.</li> <li>Strong written communication and sound judgment, including the ability to create technical narratives and distinguish reusable product work from customer-specific customization.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Strongly preferred qualifications</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Direct experience with GitLab as a platform, including GitLab.com, GitLab Dedicated, or GitLab Self-Managed.</li> <li>Production experience with Ruby on Rails, Go, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, Vue, TypeScript, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, or observability tools.</li> <li>Deep familiarity with Git internals, repository performance, large-scale Git usage patterns, or GitLab Runner behavior.</li> <li>Experience creating technical thought-leadership materials, such as whitepapers, technical talks, architecture frameworks, requests for comments, public technical writing, or internal strategy documents.</li> <li>A background in performance engineering, site reliability engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or distributed systems.</li> <li>Experience working in open source or highly asynchronous engineering environments.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Technologies and domains</strong></h2> <p>Directly relevant technologies and domains include:</p> <ul> <li>Ruby on Rails</li> <li>Go</li> <li>AI-assisted development and the agentic SDLC</li> <li>PostgreSQL</li> <li>Redis and Sidekiq</li> <li>Git internals</li> <li>GitLab CI/CD and Runner architecture</li> <li>Kubernetes and containers</li> <li>Terraform</li> <li>Linux, networking, observability, and performance analysis</li> <li>Vue and TypeScript</li> <li>APIs and automation</li> <li>DevSecOps governance, security, and compliance</li> </ul> <h2><strong>What this role is not</strong></h2> <p>This role isn't:</p> <ul> <li>A generic field engineering role.</li> <li>A proof-of-concept factory.</li> <li>A replacement for Solutions Architecture, Customer Success Architecture, Customer Success Management, Professional Services, Support, SRE, Product, or Engineering.</li> <li>A customer-specific customization function.</li> <li>Unbilled Professional Services.</li> <li>A requirements-gathering role that only escalates to Product.</li> <li>An AI evangelism role disconnected from product execution.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Success measures</strong></h2> <p>Success in this role may include:</p> <ul> <li>Stabilizing strategic customer adoption or retention risks.</li> <li>Fixing product bugs or contributing features.</li> <li>Removing AI adoption blockers for strategic accounts.</li> <li>Creating reusable implementation patterns and transitioning them to long-term owners.</li> <li>Producing or enabling Well-Architected Frameworks, whitepapers, webinars, or technical narratives.</li> <li>Resolving cross-functional customer challenges without creating permanent dependency on Forward Deployed Engineering.</li> <li>Equipping Product, Engineering, Support, CSA, CSM, Professional Services, and SA teams with better guidance based on learning from the field.</li> <li>Increasing adoption and effective use of GitLab capabilities, especially GitLab Duo and GitLab Duo Agent Platform, in targeted accounts.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>About the team</strong></h2> <p>The Forward Deployed Engineering team connects strategic customer needs with GitLab product execution. The team works directly with customers and across GitLab to resolve complex adoption challenges, contribute durable product improvements, and create reusable technical guidance. Its goal is to stabilize urgent situations, improve the product, and transition ongoing ownership to the appropriate team rather than create a permanent dependency.</p> <h2><strong>Ideal candidate profile</strong></h2> <p>You're a Staff-level product or platform engineer who can operate in the field without becoming field-only. You're comfortable reading traces, writing production code, debugging architecture, discussing AI governance, leading a customer technical session, opening a merge request, outlining a whitepaper, and coordinating across teams to achieve a strategic customer outcome.</p> <p>You're not simply a strong communicator with technical awareness. You're a credible engineer with the judgment, presence, and narrative ability to turn customer reality into product contributions, adoption guidance, and company-level thought leadership.</p> <p>We welcome candidates with different backgrounds and levels of experience. Many successful candidates don't meet every qualification. Health can’t wait . Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t. Alan exists to end the wait. Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It’s not solely a question of willpower. It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way. So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience. We are on an incredible journey to build a global leading company, with a unique culture . We already partner with 40K+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 1M+ members, and have reached €800M+ in ARR. Prevention as the new norm. That's what we're building with our team of 1000+ people. If it speaks to you: we're hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. And beyond. 🚀 The Challenge Alan is a leading European health insurer with over 1 million members across 4 countries (France, Belgium, Spain, Canada). At its core, Alan is a tech company that believes exceptional member experience is a competitive advantage: fast, empathetic, and reliable service at scale. As of Q1 2026, 40% of conversations are handled automatically. At the intersection of Care, Legal, Security, and Data Protection sits a set of topics that are as operationally complex as they are strategically critical: data breaches, GDPR rights requests, security incidents, legal complaints, regulatory reporting. We are looking for a Care Legal & Security Specialist to own these topics end-to-end: handling complex cases in close collaboration with Alan's Legal and DPO teams, building the processes and training that allow our ~300 Care agents to manage them with confidence, and identifying where AI and automation can reduce manual load. As Alan accelerates across four countries, what you build in France gets replicated in Spain, Belgium, and Canada: your work doesn't stay local. This is not a pure legal role, and it is not a pure ops role. You handle regulatory cases, improve the processes that prevent them from recurring, and scale what works across countries. You will be embedded within our Operational Excellence team, working in close collaboration with Care Ops and the Corporate Unit. 👨🚀 Missions 1/ Operational run (60%) Handle complex security incidents, GDPR cases, and legal complaints escalated from Care agents, including CNIL notifications (drafted in close collaboration with Legal and DPO, within the 72-hour regulatory deadline), account takeover situations, Level 2 and Level 3 complaints, and incoming legal mail Manage interactions with external stakeholders (CNIL, Insurance Ombudsman, Signal Conso) with precision and within regulatory deadlines Own KPI monitoring and reporting for legal and security matters; organize yearly complaints reporting for Alan's Board; identify trends and escalate systemic issues to Product teams early 2/ Scalability: process, tools, and training (20%) Design and continuously improve workflows, escalation paths, macros, and help center content so Care agents can handle legal and security cases autonomously at L1 and L2 Identify simplification and automation opportunities across legal and security operations, then collaborate with Care Ops and Product crews to deploy them, rather than solving each case manually Build and maintain training materials (case studies, Q&As, simulations), so Care Experts develop real judgment, not just process familiarity Ensure regulatory training completion across the team 3/ Globalization (20%) Translate processes, frameworks, and training materials built for France into resources that Care and Legal/Compliance teams in other countries can adopt Coordinate actively with counterparts in other countries to share learnings, align on best practices, and anticipate regulatory divergences Build shared resources so that when a new country goes live, the Care Legal & Security function isn't starting from scratch To deliver on those missions, you will: Support Care Experts participating in the Legal & Security taskforce: build their judgment on complex and ambiguous cases, be the primary escalation reference for Care agents facing difficult legal or security situations Collaborate with the Corporate Unit Lead and Care Ops to shape the Care roadmap on legal and security topics; translate regulatory constraints into executable processes and surface operational insights that should inform policy or product decisions ⭐ You'll excel in this role if you: Deliver reliably on high-stakes, deadline-driven cases with a real member-centric mindset Have at least 1-2 years of experience in one of the following: GDPR / privacy operations, legal complaints handling in a regulated sector, or compliance ops in fintech, insurtech, or health Communicate with precision and adapt to your audience, whether you're briefing a legal expert, aligning with a product team, or coaching a front-line agent. You get buy-in from agents and managers who didn't ask for a new process, and that's as important as designing the process itself Spot simplification opportunities and know how to turn them into projects: you identify what should be automated or redesigned, then drive the collaboration with Care Ops and Product to make it happen Are comfortable navigating regulatory frameworks (GDPR, complaint handling, CNIL) without being a lawyer; you know when to escalate and when to own it, and you're backed by Legal and DPO experts at Alan Are comfortable making judgment calls in ambiguous situations and moving forward without waiting for all the answers. Are fluent in French (C1+ written and spoken, essential for CNIL notifications, ombudsman responses, and legal correspondence) and proficient in English for internal Alan collaboration No prior legal qualification is required but a background in law is a genuine plus. We are looking for operational rigor, strong communication, and the appetite to build something that scales. For this opportunity, we are aiming to hire within the B-C level range. 🌍 How we work Location: You must be legally eligible to work from France. Remote work: We offer remote work flexibility, but we value in-person collaboration. 🎯 Important note: we hire people, not roles. If you're excited about this opportunity but don't check every box, we'd love to hear from you. Everyone, no matter how underrepresented, should feel free to apply, as it can only bring learnings or success. If you identify yourself as a woman: Did you know that research shows women often apply only when meeting 100% of requirements? Remember, this is just a guide, not a checklist. We'll be thrilled to receive your application! 🔖 Check out our About Alan and Career pages, as well as our Medium , blog and Glassdoor page for more info.
